My Testimony

Matthew Chapters 3&4:

Chapter 3:

     Jesus followed God’s perfect plan and stuff by having John baptize him

          -Making a public declaration…committing himself to God’s work.

          -He obeyed and God shined a light on him. 3:16,17 

Chapter 4:

     Jesus was tempted

          -He defended himself with the word!

          -He had it memorized… whatever the Devil had to say he had something better.

     Repent for the kingdom of Heaven is Near!

          -Jesus went and preached the Good Word.

     Jesus Gathers his first disciples

          -At Once… He called the men working. They left AT ONCE to follow him. They left their posts to serve Jesus. No hesitations, no questions. 4:20

          -Immediately… He called other men working and they left their work and father IMMEDIATELY. No hesitations or questions. 4:22

          -We should be quick to listen and serve God. Pray for confidence in the Lord and you won’t have a problem with that.

Matthew 1&2

Chapter 1:

     Jesus’ genealogy was filled with sketchy people:

          -Tamar…widow who tricked her father in-law to sleep with her

          -Bathsheba… King David’s partner in adultery

          -Rahab…prostitute who helped the Israelites

     Why?:

          -To show that Jesus came to save sinners?

          -Ordinary women that made an extraordinary difference

          -They became apart of the messianic line in spite of their shortcomings 

     God came to us:

          -Matthew 1:23 

Chapter 2:

     God’s Surprises:

          -The Visit of the Magi…foreign dignitaries knowing who Jesus is and even worshiping him is showing how God works. People of so much importance knowing and worshiping a little baby born in a stable is crazy. 

     Gods Got Our Backs:

          -Matthew 2:12 He warned the Magi of Herod’s plan… Jesus is safe.

          -Matthew 2:13 He warned Joseph about Herod’s plan… Jesus is safe.

          -Matthew 2:22 He warned them of Archelaus… Jesus is safe.

          -He has our back like he had Jesus’ back. All apart of God’s perfect plan. He is our protector.  

In my walk with Christ I realize that his LOVE NEVER FAILS. God has brought me through a lot. 

I’m pretty awful and He just loves me anyway. 

I love Him for that.
